about

Lights! In the sky!

lyrics

She woke up in the morning long before the break of dawn
She saw the flashing signal lights appear and she was gone
The forest called her name aloud and beckoned her to run
She said she saw a vision when she looked into the sun

And she had lights in her eyes
She had lights in her eyes

She underwent a change that I could never understand
She had dew upon her forehead, she cast moonbeams from her hands
The name that she was given would not form upon my tongue
She said she'd been appointed by the long awaited one

Rendlesham, the chosen place the ancient ones would enter in
And they had lights in their eyes
Rendlesham, the human race was just beginning to begin
To look into the skies

The air force and policemen could not verify the claim
But swear to God, I know that something happened all the same
The voice that dominated her commanded from within
Erasing and exchanging any trace that might have been

She did not care one bit for all the things I had to give
She said she had transcended them when she had chose to live in

Rendlesham, the chosen place the ancient ones would enter in
And they had lights in their eyes
Rendlesham, the human race was just beginning to begin
To recognize the signs

And finally she understood just what it meant to truly be
To cast all of her weight into an endless sea
The mysteries I had to learn weren't meant for me
Cause she could see the things that I could never see

She knew just what it meant to truly be
To cast all of her weight into an endless sea
The mysteries I had to learn weren't meant for me
Cause she could see the lights up in the sky

She woke up in the morning far beyond the brink of dawn
She could not see the forest and the signal lights were gone
The dew upon her forehead only chilled her to the bone
She longed to hear the voices tell her she was not alone
